Items to Bring: Walking shoes, clip board, hat, pencil/pen, sack lunch, water, warm clothes, comfortable walking shoes

Take I-5 north, past the I-5/805 split. Exit at Carmel Valley Rd. Turn left. Follow Carmel Valley Rd. for approx. 2 miles, to a "T" intersection with North Torrey Pines Road/Camino Del Mar...Note: don't turn into the first Torry Pines area you see on Carmel Valley Road. This is not where we're meeting...Keep going until you come to the "T" intersection at the coast.

Turn left onto N. Torrey Pines Road (although the sign says Camino Del Mar). Proceed approx. 1/2 mile south, to Torrey Pines State Beach, on the right. Enter State Beach. Stop at Guard Station, mention you're with a pre-arranged Mesa College geology field trip, and your parking fee may be waived!
